Determining if you could benefit from cosmetic dentistry is as simple as asking yourself these quick questions:
If you answered yes to any of those questions, you are a candidate for cosmetic dentistry. Having a beautiful smile helps your appearance and your self-esteem. Attractive smiles convey youth, happiness, and sincerity, which can benefit you both personally and professionally.
At Mount Royal Dental, we have different options to make your smile more beautiful. After a brief consultation, we can discuss the different steps we recommend so you can have the smile of your dreams. The best part is cosmetic dentistry has become more accessible than ever, making the procedures fast, effective, and affordable.
Here are some services that we may recommend:
There are many factors that can contribute to dull or stained teeth: aging, drinking and eating dark-colored foods and beverages, smoking, and genetics. Professional teeth whitening removes these stains from the enamel, leaving patients with brighter, whiter smiles. Mount Royal Dental offers two options for teeth whitening. The first is the Zoom! Teeth whitening procedure that whitens teeth in just a single appointment. The second is custom-fit at home whitening trays for gradual whitening in the comfort of your home.
Porcelain dental veneers are thin strips of ceramic that are custom fabricated and attached to the front of existing teeth. A veneer completely alters the appearance of the tooth and can transform a smile. Veneers can be used to treat permanent discoloration, teeth that are crooked chipped, or cracked, teeth with uneven lengths and gaps between the teeth.
Cavities happen, and when they occur, they don’t have to negatively impact the appearance of the smile. We use natural-looking tooth-colored fillings to treat areas of decay, restoring health and maintaining a beautiful smile.
Having straight teeth makes for a more attractive smile. Traditional braces are extremely effective at straightening teeth, however many adults do not wish to wear them, so instead, they opt to do nothing. Invisalign straightens teeth discreetly using clear aligner trays. The trays are swapped out every two weeks for a new set as they gradually reposition teeth. Invisalign trays are removable so you can take them out to eat and brush your teeth.
Missing teeth are an issue that can have a profound impact on the appearance and functionality of the smile. When teeth are missing it can lead to bone loss, altering the contours the face and making you appear older. Dental implants are the only permanent solution for tooth loss. The implant is placed into the bone to replace the missing tooth root. Over time, the implant fuses to the bone to create a stable foundation for attaching dental restorations such as crowns or dentures. When in place, dental implants are the closest restoration to natural teeth.
Tooth bonding is a service that can fix the appearance of a tooth that has been cracked, chipped, or broken. The tooth-colored material is bonded to the tooth and can last for many years. Dental bonding can also be used to reshape teeth or close in small gaps. The procedure is quick, convenient, and affordable.
In some instances, patients may benefit from multiple procedures to enhance the smile. We call these – smile makeovers. During your consultation, we can discuss if a smile makeover is right for you and which procedures that we recommend. Smile makeovers are typically completed over an extended period of time.
If you look in the mirror and are unhappy with or embarrassed by your smile, please call Mount Royal Dentistry today at (905) 581-9912 to learn more about our cosmetic dentistry services. We can help transform your smile and your self-esteem through cosmetic dentistry.
