Not only is this ageing impression method uncomfortable, you often need to go through multiple rounds, which can then be broken, rejected, or misplaced. The iTero scanner
Using the latest in optical technology, the iTero scanner is able to construct a three-dimensional digital model of your teeth and gums with the use of a light-emitting wand or laser. With this radiation-free laser, your mouth can be completely scanned in just two to three minutes. What results is a perfect digital three-dimensional impression of your teeth and surrounding soft tissue structures. Using digital software, you get to follow the progress of these scans as they are displayed on a nearby monitor. These digital models can then be used for a number of treatments, including Invisalign.
